Official Opening - Dovecot Drive, Airdrie

The opening of Broomfield Gardens, Dovecot Drive, Airdrie took place on Friday 4th June 2010.  The facility was officially opened by Alex Neil MSP (Minister for Housing and Communities in the Scottish Government).  Also speaking on Bield Housing Association’s behalf was Chief Executive Katrina Turner.  Hypostyle were appointed for this development by West of Scotland Housing Association.  The contractor started on site in January 2008 and work completed in October 2009. Bield Housing Association has been selected by North Lanarkshire Council as the care provider for the supported accommodation (20 no. units) and the flat specifically designed for a wheelchair user.  Ownership for these units transferred, on completion, to Bield HA.  West of Scotland HA will retain ownership of the six amenity units also included in the development.
