Hypostyle Architects

National Museums Scotland (NMS)

Hypostyle were commissioned in September 2014 as lead consultant for a new build extension to Building 1 to accommodate research lab and treatment facilities plus supporting offices.  This was following selection via a two-stage PQQ/ITT process, and Hypostyle are being supported by their sub-consultants The Structural Partnership and DMP (M&E).

This is the second Edinburgh success for the same Design Team in 2014, following on from the University of Edinburgh Forrest Hill project, with two new significant establishments have been added to our Client list.  It is also further evidence of successful team working, as the same three practices have been responsible for the delivery of a number of projects for the University of Strathclyde.

The NMS project is currently at an early design stage and programmed to be on site May 2015.
