Mental Health Resource Centre
Hypostyle Architects was commissioned by Greater Glasgow Primary Healthcare Trust to design this day care centre for mental health patients. The site was part of disused railway siding with a high embankment and sandstone boundary wall.
The central architectural idea is an overhanging blue box, built on a solid masonry plinth, designed to bring both colour and character to a run down city street - yet, at the same time, creating a secure envelope for the activities inside.
Project value:
£1.5 Million
