Hypostyle has worked at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre (BWSCC) (formerly called the Beatson Oncology Centre) since April 2002 as both Architectural and Design Advisors to NHS Greater Glasgow and as the Employer's Agent throughout the construction process. The building was designed to be more than a place of clinical and technological excellence. It is a place designed to ease the stress for cancer patients and their families.

Our design includes a welcoming entrance area, three landscaped courtyards, clinic spaces and the ‘Friends of the Beatson Relax Station’. Keeping a tight rein on budget and timescale, the teams involved with the works were able to realise significant savings that, in turn, allowed the hospital to purchase vital extra medical equipment.
