Hypostyle have been appointed by the Board of St Margaret of Scotland Hospice to coordinate refurbishment works to their Clydebank hospice. The project is currently in technical design development.

Refurbishment works throughout the St Joseph’s Ward of the hospice include reconfiguration of the first-floor internal layout to comply with current NHS Scottish Health Technical Memorandums and to reclad the external walls with a terracotta panel rainscreen system at the first floor. The design aims to complement the existing brick used at the ground floor.

Further works include a new roof canopy on the West elevation to serve the entrance to the hospice for both patients and ambulances, renewal of first-floor services, improving ancillary structures, laundry and staff services, and an investigation into the conditions of the roof, internal and external finishes, and scope for replacement.
